It was great to see classic minifigs around parts of the site even though this is the late 2005 layout. I think Lego used to acknowledge the existence of older themes more than they do today. What I liked about the old 2005 site was the layout, games/comics/movies, and the avatar customization (The new one is bland in my opinion).
I will upload some more pictures later. Unfortunately, many of the games, images, and links are broken. I really wish Lego archived this stuff to keep it alive. Even the comic captions are broken! (In case you don't know or remember what that was, it was a contest where members could add a comic caption to two pictures each month. At the end of the month, the winners would be displayed and the new pictures would be uploaded.) You still can view the blank photos that were current at the time, but you can't view any of the previous winners.

I don't think I've ever seen the website layout from before 2009 or so. I've seen pics of it in the older LEGO instruction manuals though. So, lego.com already existed back in 1996? I Always thought it wasn't online until somewhere in 1998.
I just chose 2005 because that's how I remembered Lego.com. I am going to add links and pictures for even older versions later. As the other sites go. couldn't you just get to the Media site by clicking on a link that takes you there? Also, I don't know anything about developer sites or the IG games site.
If you remove the Dreamz or Beltz from those links you'll get to BMP's archive of every Lego game they've managed to scour off the internet. I believe that includes every online one Lego actually produced. They've also got the Bionicle games, but those are under a separate interface.
I wanna tell my experience with this website. I looked at the lego website to play lego flash games when I came across the lego media page. I saw a minifig with an rr logo on his shirt. In my 10 year old eyes, he looks cool and confident. It makes me want to get that minifigure and play him but of course there is no minifig based on him at that time. This is where I knew Lego Racers. I read the summary of the game and it drew me in. The guy name Rocket Racer is the person wearing the RR shirt, it makes me want to play the game to beat him. I thought I could play it in the computer but I couldn't so I ask my parents for help and found out that I need to buy the game. My parents helped me install the demo so I can play LR. It took within a day to install because of course, internet is still young at that time. When I play the demo, there was only one race track. The build option is limited for up to 5min. and you cannot play you built car and driver as its a demo but regardless it was a difficult but an enjoyable experience. I played this multiple times every single day. I remember every single path the AI take and every power up I can use to take an advantage whether it be speeding through via warp or trolling other racers with a yellow brick. I love it so much that I ask my parents to buy me a game. I got the PS1 version first but that one was given to my cousin when we trade games. The version is uhh... yeah. I don't wanna talk about it.

LEGO Island was a huge step up for the series in video games, presenting players with a massive island to explore. You play as Pepper Roni, a pizza delivery boy who inadvertently has to help capture an escaped criminal known as the Brickster. The game is nonlinear and is played from a first-person perspective.
This simulation title is very similar to tycoon games, but instead has you building and keeping up your very own Legoland. Gameplay wise it was a bit more kid friendly thane most tycoon games, but still had a tone of options for rides, attractions, and sets.
Bionicle Heroes was another new direction for the series, featuring an emphasis on third-person shooting this time around. It mostly featured heroes from the new Bionicle toy line in 2006, but also dropped in some characters and villains from across the series. Reception was mixed for the game, but it was mostly overshadowed by bigger releases in the series like the LEGO Star Wars games.
In 2008, LEGO bundled up their Star Wars games and released them in one single pack on modern systems. They were largely the same experiences, although there were a few tweaks or additions here and there. Still, it was an great pack with two pretty stellar games.
This is one licensed game that no one saw coming, but worked fairly well in execution. LEGO Rock Band incorporated elements of both series, as it held the core gameplay of Rock Band but allowed you to construct your band members, stage, and more out of bricks. The title featured 45 songs in total that had a family focus, and could even be exported to other Rock Band games.
Sticking with the same design of their licensed games, the series adapted that into their Legends of Chima line. There are 15 levels in the game with over 60 playable characters, who each have their own unique skillset. Every tribe featured in the Chima line was playable.
LEGO Minifigures took inspiration from not only other titles in the series, but also isometric RPGs like Diablo. You chose a party of four minifigures, which you could build from many different themes, and controlled them in battles from a top-down perspective. There a ton of different worlds and themes featured in the game, but unfortunately online services were shut down in 2016.
